Paint protection film in Muvattupuzha

A clear, self-healing shield for your paint, made for Kerala roads, sun and rain.

What PPF does for your car

SK Tint fits paint protection film in Muvattupuzha for drivers across Kerala who want their paint to stay as good as the day they bought the car. PPF wrapping is a tough, transparent film applied over the paintwork. It takes the damage that daily driving throws at a car, so the paint underneath does not.

Most owners protect the areas that take the most hits: the bonnet, front bumper, mirrors and door edges. Others cover the whole car. Either way, the film is close to invisible once fitted.

Good to know

  • Best fitted on new or freshly corrected paint
  • Available in gloss and matte finishes
  • Fitted in our dust-controlled bay

Protection you can't see

  • Self-healing top coat

Light swirls and fine scratches fade away with warmth from the sun or warm water.

  • Stone chip protection

The film absorbs the grit and small stones thrown up on highways and ghat roads.

  • Scratch resistance

Keys, bags, branches and careless washing marks land on the film, not the paint.

  • Bird droppings and tree sap

Acidic marks sit on the film instead of etching into the clear coat.

  • UV fade protection

Helps stop the paint dulling and fading under strong Kerala sun.

  • Hydrophobic finish

Water beads and rolls off, so the car stays cleaner and washes faster.

  • Removable without damage

On factory paint in good condition, the film comes off cleanly when you want it to.

How paint protection film is made

Modern PPF is built from TPU, a flexible, durable polyurethane. The film is made in four layers, each with its own job.

  1. 1Top coat

A clear, self-healing coating. It gives the film its gloss or matte look, its water-repelling surface and its ability to recover from light scratches.

  2. 2TPU layer

Thermoplastic polyurethane, the thick and flexible core of the film. It stretches around curves and absorbs the impact of stones and grit so your paint does not.

  3. 3Adhesive layer

A pressure-sensitive adhesive that holds firmly to the paint, yet releases with gentle heat when the film needs to come off.

  4. 4Release liner

A backing sheet that protects the adhesive until installation. It is peeled away as the film is fitted and does not stay on the car.

Typical thickness
150 to 200 micronsAbout 6 to 8 mil, not counting the liner. Thicker film absorbs more impact.
Typical warranty
5 to 10 yearsManufacturer warranty against yellowing, cracking, peeling and bubbling, depending on the film range.
Finishes
Gloss or matteSee below for how to choose.

Gloss or matte PPF

Gloss

Crystal clear with a high shine that can make paint look deeper than before. On gloss paint it is practically invisible. The most popular choice.

Matte

Gives gloss paint a smooth satin-matte look while protecting it, or keeps factory matte paint protected without adding shine.

PPF questions, answered

How long does paint protection film last?

Quality TPU paint protection film typically lasts 5 to 10 years with proper care. The exact warranty depends on the film brand and range, and we confirm it for the film you choose before fitting.

Will PPF damage my paint when it is removed?

No. On factory paint in good condition, PPF can be removed with gentle heat without lifting the paint underneath. Repainted or previously damaged panels need checking first, and we will tell you if there is any risk.

Can I wash my car normally after PPF is fitted?

Yes, once the film has settled. Avoid pressure washing close to the film edges for the first few days. After that, normal hand washing is fine, and the hydrophobic top coat makes the car easier to clean. We give you aftercare instructions when you collect the car.

What is the difference between PPF and ceramic coating?

Ceramic coating is a thin liquid layer that adds gloss and makes washing easier, but it does not stop stone chips or scratches. PPF is a physical film that absorbs impacts and scratches before they reach the paint.
